The Yao Culture!

Today, at Stratford college I watched an interesting performance from the traveling group of Chinese performers, Yao culture. The audience seemed to get very involved with the performance, clapping along to the beat and at the end a member of the audience beat one of the Chinese performers at pushing a pole. The singers were brilliant and the contrast in pitch between the men and the women was brilliant and the harmonization between them was excellent. Two of the men were doing acrobatics with a pole and they were flipping over each other.

The costumes they were wearing consisted of baggy red trousers a red t-shirt which was a few sizes to big and both parts of the costume had a few bells on them the really spectacular part of their costume was their hilarious hats which i would compare to a jesters hat as they were bright blue with tiny bells jingling whenever they moved.

In conclusion I didnt enjoy this performance as i found it boring.
